New Moon in Taurus + Jupiter Enters Gemini
As Taurus season continues, Spring is in full bloom here in the Northern Hemisphere. Flowers are blooming, trees are filled with new leaves, and choruses of birds are singing. Venus, goddess of love, art, beauty, and money rules Taurus, an earth sign associated with the sensual, material world. Taurus loves to create art, beautiful spaces and gardens. Taurus is an Epicurean—a foodie! Practical in nature, often Taurus is also very good at managing money. Taurus loves excellent quality.
New Moon in Taurus
The New Moon in Taurus will occur on May 7, 2024, at about 10:22 p.m. Central Time. This energy is perfect for indulging in the finer things, eating your favorite meal, ordering dessert, and reviewing your finances. Luxury and love are the focus! What does this mean to you and how can you make some fresh starts in these areas?
Jupiter Moves into Gemini
On May 25, Jupiter makes an ingress (transition) from Taurus into Gemini. Jupiter is an expansive energy associated with good fortune, blessings, peace, wisdom, and healing. It stays in a sign for about one year and revisits a sign every 12 years (the last time Jupiter was in Gemini was in 2012).
All that said, Jupiter is not super comfortable in Gemini, an Air sign associated with communication, networking, and duality.
Jupiter wants us to be discerning and act with wisdom.
When Jupiter is in the sign of Gemini, it can be a challenge to discern what is Truth and what is not. Over this next year, we will need to pay extra careful attention to messages and information received. This pertains to our personal lives and to the greater world, particularly during an election year and in a time when it is more and more challenging to know when information is true or “real” or not.
Jupiter in Gemini also brings expansion to areas ruled by Gemini. We will continue to see rapid advances in communication and information technologies, particularly things like AI and digital currencies.
Jupiter is the philosopher, the wise teacher who ultimately wants to teach us lessons of Truth, wisdom, and peace. In fact, the recent student protests are symbolic of this energy as Jupiter in Gemini literally represents university students.
It’s more important than ever to listen, pause, and reflect before reacting or, alternatively, before ignoring or dismissing information. Jupiter supports us in choosing peace and wisdom.
If you have Jupiter in Gemini in your chart, you will experience your Jupiter return for the next 12 or so months. This means you could see some blessings or good fortune this year, and perhaps an expansion of some sort in the area of your chart ruled by Gemini.
If you are a Gemini Sun, Moon, or Rising, you may also find that Jupiter brings you some extra blessings this year!
